Grassl Champagne Glass

The Grassl Champagne wine glass is much more than your average flute. This mouth-blown, tulip-shaped art piece has a 310ml volume. The champagne glass allows fine bubble streams to reach the surface while capturing their subtle fruit and secondary aromas. The champagne wine glass shows the entire range of flavors hidden within sparkling wine; it’s perfect for Méthode traditionnelle and Charmat and gorgeous with sweet wine specialties.

      MATERIALS

      An oxy-fuel fired furnace melts glassmaking sand, soda, dolomite, potassium, potassium oxide and recycled glass. The result is a 1700°C hot, lead-free molten mass resembling the composition of pure rock crystal.

      CRAFTSMANSHIP

      Twenty years of glassmaking experience are required to consistently craft the Grassl Glass Collection. Five artisans are needed to produce a single stemmed glass during the hot-shaping phase. Followed by a slow-cooling process with an additional five steps for finalisation.
