Grassl 1855 Wine Glass

The Grassl 1855 pays homage to the Exposition Universelle de Paris. The shape of this wine glass is designed for reds and whites of great complexity, concentration and body. The design of the bowl provides the wine with the space it needs to evolve.

Durable enough to withstand your dishwasher without shattering or clouding.

    LEAD-FREE

Using only the purest glassmaking material in a controlled environment to avoid impurities.

    MATERIALS

    MATERIALS

An oxy-fuel fired furnace melts glassmaking sand, soda, dolomite, potassium, potassium oxide and recycled glass. The result is a 1700°C hot, lead-free molten mass resembling the composition of pure rock crystal.

    CRAFTSMANSHIP

    CRAFTSMANSHIP

Twenty years of glassmaking experience are required to consistently craft the Grassl Glass Collection. Five artisans are needed to produce a single stemmed glass during the hot-shaping phase. Followed by a slow-cooling process with an additional five steps for finalisation.
